ATTN: SHARON UPDATE

Here is a quick and positive update from Sharon.

I have been through a lot since August and kinda want to share. In August when I was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, due to how fast this was growing they started me right away with 24 hour of two types of chemo therapy for seven days. I was in the hospital wiped out for 34 days. I came home to recover. Then just as I got better they sent me back two more times for more chemo therapy. The leukemia is in remission with the exception of about 2%. They look for less than 5%, so this is good. Also I had a defect in my blood that has been wiped out. All the medical people are happy with my progress. Lucky me gets the worst AML you can get, therefore the only way to make sure I recover and it doesn’t come back I have to do a bone marrow transplant at Stanford. This is where I am now. Once I get the transplant I have 100 days of 24 hour care to make sure the bone marrow doesn’t reject me. Then another six months to a year before I am fully healed and well. I miss all my crossfit friends. I miss being there every day. I am walking two miles a day and doing some resistant band stuff for my arms, but I will have a long hard road before I can be back with all of you. I hope to be back by January 2017! I will send another update in three months once they give me the clearance that all is good.

Love all you guys~

Miss you~

I am watching some of you on Facebook!
