Makiko Niwa

Makiko loves sharing her passion for yoga as a way to build a healthy community. Not only does yoga help build a healthier body, but it cultivate senses such as love, compassion and peace not only toward others but toward yourself, which are both vital to maintaining your health and well-being in a collective way.

Makiko’s journey started in 2012. Completed RYT 200 training in 2015 in Tokyo and has been continuing her study in CA but also internationally as well to extend her love of yoga to youths, adults and the elderly to help people discover the benefits of yoga in many different ways. Also trained in fall prevention and chronic disease self-management, Makiko’s understanding in these areas should provide great value to broader application of the yoga practice.
